OUR STORY
A Unique Location On The Thames
Established in 1997, Otter Marine is situated on Platts Eyot, an island in the middle of the non-tidal River Thames at Hampton, one of the most picturesque and historically significant boatbuilding locations in England.
With a 200ft slipway, we are able to work on boats up to 50 tonnes with a maximum beam of 18ft and a maximum draft of 4'6". Our island workshop provides the perfect environment for meticulous marine craftsmanship.
The combined skills of our available workforce enable us to cover most aspects of service and repair on wooden, metal, and GRP boats—carrying forward the proud tradition of Thames boatbuilding.
